Killala’s unbeaten run at Under 13 level was extended on Friday night as they scored a 3-0 victory over Ballina Town B.
Town got off to a slow start, with Killala scoring very early in match. Ballina settled into game and chances were quite even at both ends before Killala added a second goal from a corner before half-time.
Town showed great battling throughout, from defence to attack, in both halves but found it difficult to break down a strong, determined Killala team.
In the second half Ballina Town created some very good chances but couldn’t get ball into their net.
The Town ‘keeper made some great saves also to keep game alive until the end. It was a great contest but Killala proved stronger on this occasion, winning by three goals to nil in the end. #CTT
